This atmospheric giclée print captures the haunting beauty of Chester’s historic city walls on a cold December evening. Originally photographed in 2010, the scene shows the city's streets cloaked in a thick, ghostly fog—evoking the moody, mysterious tone of a classic Sherlock Holmes story, such as The Hound of the Baskervilles.
Although the original image was taken in 2010, it has been expertly reprocessed in 2024 using advanced digital imaging technology to achieve the highest possible print quality.
Chester’s medieval city walls, first constructed by the Romans nearly 2,000 years ago, are the oldest, longest, and most complete defensive walls still standing in England—making them a striking and iconic subject.
