This hand-crafted Medieval reproduction is taken from an original carving found on the Bishop’s Seat at Lincoln Cathedral. Cast from a mould made directly from the original, the piece preserves the dramatic form, surface detail, and expressive power of the medieval carving.

Known as Dragon No. 3, this figure is one of a pair of dragons flanking a central scene commonly referred to as The Fall of Pride, which depicts a knight being unseated from his horse after being struck by an arrow. Together, the dragons act as guardians to the central carving, reinforcing the moral and symbolic narrative of the composition. Dragon No. 3 faces to the right when viewed as part of the original scheme, with its counterpart facing left.

Cast in a high-quality resin composite and carefully hand-stained to evoke the appearance of aged wood, this reproduction faithfully retains the fine detail and craftsmanship of the original medieval work.

Designed for wall mounting, this striking artefact forms a powerful focal point, whether displayed alone or alongside related pieces from the same scheme. Supplied complete with a hanging fixture and product label.
