This hand-crafted Medieval reproduction is taken from an original carving found on the Bishop’s Seat at Lincoln Cathedral. Cast from a mould made directly from the original, the piece preserves the dynamic form and fine surface detail of the medieval carving.
Known as Dragon No. 4, this figure forms one of a pair of dragons flanking a central scene commonly referred to as The Fall of Pride, depicting a knight being unseated from his horse after being struck by an arrow. Within the original composition, Dragon No. 4 faces to the left, opposing Dragon No. 3, with both figures acting as guardians to the central moral narrative.
Cast in a high-quality resin composite and carefully hand-stained to evoke the appearance of aged wood, this reproduction faithfully retains the craftsmanship and expressive detail of the original medieval work.
Designed for wall mounting, this striking artefact makes a powerful focal point, whether displayed alone or alongside its paired counterpart. Supplied complete with a hanging fixture and product label.
