Church Cat with Mouse

In every church and cathedral, mice are a common sight, though not all Vicars and Vergers are quite as fond of them as we are. To help keep things in order, the Church Cat was brought in to catch the pesky rodents. But this cat isn’t much of a hunter—in fact, he’s good friends with most of the mice!

The Vicar isn’t too impressed with his performance as a mouse catcher, and you can see why—this cat looks rather sad and grumpy, with little to be pleased about in church life. Hoping for better days and a new home away from the cathedral, he prays for someone kind-hearted to take him in.
