Their origins date back to the medieval period, and they remain one of Chester’s most iconic architectural landmarks.

The facades in this area are central to the city’s charm and visual identity. While some are elaborate Victorian reconstructions, several original 13th-century structures have survived the centuries, offering a direct link to the city’s medieval past.
